The Heir is a compact wearable sensor designed to attach to the back of a traditional wristwatch, adding smart functionality without altering the watch itself. The attachment system is intentionally simple, non-invasive, and reversible.

The Heir is designed to disappear once worn - no added bulk, no visual clutter, no change to how your watch looks.

Attachment method: microsuction technology

The Heir uses microsuction. Microsuction consists of thousands of microscopic air pockets that create grip through surface contact and pressure.

  • Flexible enough to remove and reattach repeatedly
  • Leaves no residue, marks, or permanent impact
  • Requires no tools, straps, clips, or watch modifications

No magnets. No interference.

The Heir does not use magnets of any kind. This is a deliberate design decision to avoid magnetization concerns and to ensure compatibility with mechanical, automatic, and quartz watches.

Watch Shape & Size

  • Circular casebacks - Diameter larger than 34mm fits comfortably
  • Square / rectangular caseback - Diameter larger than 34mm fits well

Caseback Material

  • Stainless steel, titanium, ceramic, sapphire crystalSquare / rectangular case back:

Caseback Surface

  • Smooth, flat surfaces – Best adhesion
  • Light engraving (brand logos, serial numbers) – Usually fine
  • Exhibition casebacks – Completely fine
  • Deep engraving (e.g., Omega Seamaster Hippocampus) – May reduce contact area

Note: On heavily engraved or textured casebacks, microsuction effectiveness may vary. In those cases, the natural pressure between your wrist and watch helps hold the Heir firmly in place during wear.

Watch Strap & Bracelet

  • Works with all strap types: leather, metal, NATO, rubber.
  • For NATO strap, just slide the Heir under the strap to make contact with caseback
