The Heir instantly adds smartwatch features without changing how your watch looks. It tracks your activity: including steps, calories, activity classification, active distance and time - and syncs that data to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). The Heir also provides call and text notifications through haptic vibrations.
No. The Heir does not use magnets and doesn't require tools or modifications. It attaches using microsuction technology - thousands of tiny air pockets that create a secure hold without damage. It is strong enough to stay in place during daily wear, but flexible enough to remove and swap between watches countless times.
The Heir is designed to work with most modern watches with a flat or slightly curved caseback (ideal for watches greater than 34mm wide). It does not require any modification to your watch. If your watch has heavy engravings or a highly textured caseback, results may vary with suction. If your watch is modern (was built after the 80s), it’s built to withstand significantly more impact than anything the Heir produces.
No. The Heir is a one-time purchase. All core features and ongoing software enhancements are included in purchase. There is no subscription required.
Future hardware upgrades may require a separate purchase, but your Heir works out of the box with everything included.
The Heir lasts up to 42 hours on a full charge. Included in your purchase is a USB-C charging dock and it takes about 1 hour to fully recharge.

The Founding Story
My brother gave me a watch.
A diagnosis gave me a purpose.
When Fitbits and Apple Watches took over, I stopped wearing the Citizen my brother gave me at graduation. It sat in a drawer. Then he was diagnosed with a brain tumor - and I remembered the watch collecting dust. The one he gave me.

The HeirBand is a lightweight strap that holds your Heir when you are not wearing a watch. It is ideal for workouts, winding down, or any time you want to stay connected without your timepiece.
The Heir supports vibration alerts for calls, texts, and most apps that send standard iOS or Android notifications — including WhatsApp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Gmail, Instagram, and much more You choose exactly which apps buzz your wrist. Enable and manage them in the Ganance app under Settings → Notifications.
Currently the Heir syncs activity data directly to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). Third-party app integrations — including platforms like Strava and Garmin — are arriving later this fall, before this batch ships. We will communicate directly as those go live.
The microsuction technology creates a secure, vacuum-like seal that handles daily movement and exercise with ease.
We offer a 14-day return window from the date your Heir is delivered. If you are not satisfied, you may return it within 14 days as long as it is in good condition and includes all original components and packaging. Once received and inspected, we will process your refund.
Face Scan is a biometric scanning feature built into the Ganance app. Using your phone's front camera, it measures light variations in your skin caused by blood flow — a technique called remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) — and delivers 30+ health markers in about 30 seconds. No additional hardware required.
Yes. Face Scan is included with every Heir purchase at no extra cost — no subscription, no add-on. When the feature goes live in Fall 2026, it will appear automatically in your Ganance app after a standard update.
