WindUp Watch Fair NYC 10/18-10/20

WindUp Watch Fair NYC 10/18-10/20

Earlier this month, we had the exciting opportunity to showcase the Ganance Heir at New York City’s Windup Watch Fair. This event attracts some of the most dedicated watch aficionados, so we knew it was the perfect place to introduce our attachable smartwatch module to those who appreciate the heritage of traditional timepieces but also crave modern functionality.

A Bold Entrance: Standing Out as a Non-Watch Brand

In a fair filled with iconic watch brands, Ganance was one of the few companies presenting a tech solution rather than a new watch. To make it clear we weren’t there to compete with these legendary timepieces, our CEO decided to make a statement by prominently displaying a sign that read, “WE DO NOT SELL WATCHES.” It worked like a charm—curious attendees stopped by, intrigued by our bold difference, which led to conversations about what we do. It was the perfect icebreaker and quickly set us apart, drawing a crowd to learn more about our smartwatch converter.

Transforming Watches with the Ganance Heir

Our product, the Ganance Heir, is a sleek, attachable sensor that brings smartwatch capabilities to classic wristwatches. Attendees were thrilled to see how this wearable tech could transform their favorite timepieces without sacrificing aesthetics, adding features like step counting, heart rate monitoring, and watch notifications. Many visitors were excited by the possibilities.

Why the Ganance Heir Resonated with Attendees

At Windup, NYC’s love of tradition and innovation was on full display. The event was filled with people who care deeply about the artistry of watches and who loved discovering that they could keep their cherished timepieces while gaining the convenience of health tracking and notifications. By the end of the weekend, it was clear that our mission to integrate modern smartwatch features without compromising style resonated strongly with these attendees.

Taking Wearable Technology to the Next Level

Beyond showing off our product, our goal was also to hear directly from our audience. Feedback on our smartwatch integration, watch companion app, and the overall experience of turning a classic wristwatch into a smartwatch revealed just how ready the market is for this kind of solution.

What’s Next for Ganance

The fair was not only a success for building connections but also fueled us with new ideas for product development. As we prepare for our upcoming production run in early 2025, we’re grateful to everyone who stopped by and gave their feedback. As we continue to evolve our mobile app for hybrid smartwatch features, we’re excited to meet the growing demand for tech that supports health and wellness without compromising on style.
